New York 2015 Fashion Week Recap

–Omgosh did you see Betsy Johnson’s S/S15 Runway Show?!–

Betsy

Speaking of which, now that all is said on done for ‘Fashion Month’ I think it’s a perfect time for a recap! I had so much fun going back on Pinterest and sorting through some of my favourite designers and their creations. Some of the best sites for keeping up to date with New York Fashion Week:

You might notice, there’s no Tommy, there’s no Boss, and there’s no Calvin. None of these big names really struck a cord with me this season. There were a few designers who stood out, first and foremost My HighlightBetsy Johnson. I would consider many of her pieces junior ‘inspired’ and not quite what I would actually wear, but she puts together such a good collection, and such a good show she is hard to miss. Coupled with her amazing, vibrant personality, and an occasional use of older models that I admire I would totally consider myself a fan. There was one dress though that I am absolutely head over heels for, and the movement on the runway was perfection! And that two tier wedding cake purse… can you say bachelorette accessory?!SS15 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK Favourite Shows: Nicholas K, Alon Livne, Desigual

As a newcomer to the world of fashion weeks I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction, the amount of time and energy put into each collection (regardless of if they jived with me on a personal level) was astounding!
